How to Change Your Tire

When you experience a flat tire, it’s important that you get it changed so that you can drive down the road until it can be fixed entirely. If your car is equipped with a spare, pull over to the side of the road and put on your hazard lights.

Apply the parking brake and then remove your hubcap or wheel cover. Then, loosen the lug nuts using the torque wrench that comes with the spare tire. From there, place the jack under the vehicle and then raise the vehicle. Unscrew the lug nuts and remove the flat tire. Then mount the spare onto the bolts. Tighten the lug nuts by hand and then lower the vehicle. Tighten the nuts again and then put your hubcap or wheel cover back on.

Once your spare is mounted, drive down to one of our auto parts centers and we can get a new tire on so that you can resume driving.
